Completing your MSc Financial Management degree means that you are exempt from the Certificate in Treasury Fundamentals.
You are also exempt from four of the five Certificate in Treasury units. This means that you only have to study one unit and take one assessment, in order to achieve the highly valued Certificate in Treasury qualification and use the CertT letters after your name.
The ACT and Birmingham Business School have agreed that each student can choose the unit they would like to study, based on your preference and interest.
This means that on successful completion of your degree, you will be able to select the unit you wish to study.
Below are the ACT units that you must select one from:
Unit 1: The context of treasury.
Unit 2: Cash and liquidity management.
Unit 3: Corporate finance.
Unit 4: Technology, governance and ethics.
Unit 5: Financial risk analysis and management.
The ACT are also pleased to be able to offer you a 10% discount on the learning fee. You then need to buy your student membership, pay for the remaining four exemptions and pass your assessment successfully. After this you will have completed the Certificate in Treasury.

When you are ready to buy your exemptions, you will be asked to create an ACT Learning account if you haven’t already got one.

You will be required to upload evidence of your prior learning in the form of a certificate and transcript with the year you qualified clearly visible.

When booking onto the Certificate in Treasury you will need to become a student member of the ACT. Your student membership is valid for the duration of your learning licence, or until you pass your full qualification, whichever is soonest.

Whilst you are studying it’s up to you to decide when you are ready to opt in and take your assessment. There are three assessment windows for the Certificate in Treasury each year for you to choose from.
For the Certificate in Treasury there is one exam per unit, which is online invigilated. Each exam is two hours in duration.
When you buy, you will need to log in to your ACT Learning account. If you have not got one, you will be prompted to create one.
